the genesis of jenesys - where we came from and where we're going
the genesis for Jenesys was in 1994, while computer expert and entrepreneur Steve Jenkins was completing his Masters degree in Business Administration at Brigham Young University's Marriott School of Management. Jenkins began writing and publishing articles on the the Internet to assist computer users of all levels get the most from their systems.

as part of this effort, Jenkins founded the popular Windows95.com (now WinFiles.com) Web site in early 1995 to continue to provide high-value content to the Internet community. The site quickly grew into one of the most heavily visited sites on the Web. Jenkins left his position as an Internet Marketing Product Manager for Microsoft Corporation and began operating Jenesys full-time in late 1996.

jenesys' current projects include CheatCodes.com, a Web site that provides tips, strategies, cheats, and other content to video game players on all the major gaming platforms.

since its beginnings at the dawn of the Internet era, Jenesys has grown into a Web content industry leader, employing content producers, Internet advertising experts, and new-media technology gurus - all focused on delivering compelling content through a variety of digital media. Based in Seattle, Washington, Jenesys lays claim to some of the hottest talents and technologies available.

in addition to providing content-based Web sites, Jenesys also produces CD-ROMs based on Web content, and ships thousands of units per year to subscribers around the globe.
